Our History

RP Solutions was founded in 1995 by David Johnson. David has been immersed in the payments industry since 1982, honing his skills at companies like NCR and Compusist, before establishing RP Solutions. By founding RP Solutions, David merged his passion for and expertise of the payments industry with his determination to build a company where an exceptional employee and customer experience are the top priority. David’s original vision of building a company based on excellence, service, integrity, and developing lasting partnerships with customers, still serves as our foundation today.

RP Solutions began as an NCR Partner and value-added reseller. Soon after, RP Solutions began development of innovative remittance solutions, launching the Expert RPS product family. The Expert RPS payment processing solution continues to be used by many organizations across the country today. Over the years, RP Solutions has provided solutions and services that have helped numerous organizations manage and streamline their payments operations.

In 2016, RP Solutions released a cloud-based solution to further improve payment processing and reduce overall costs for organizations of all sizes. The Transaction Processing Services (TPS), Platform is used across the country today to process millions of payments each day. Customers range in size from small companies just looking to automate, to very large organizations and lockbox processors managing hundreds of customer accounts. Creating a solution that was scalable, could allow organizations to easily deploy remote employees during pandemics or other natural disasters, and could reduce costs while speeding up deposits, has been the priority for RP Solutions.

Our decades of industry experience have shaped our approach to current payment strategies and enable us to provide advanced solutions for new and evolving forms of payment. Additionally, providing a complete integrated payment solution is a priority for RP Solutions, which is why we have always, and continue to, partner with leading manufacturers of processing transports, check and page scanners, and mail extraction equipment to provide the finest integrated systems in the industry.

David remains President of RP Solutions today and RP Solutions continues it’s dedication to developing solutions that support the needs of companies of all sizes and across many industries, to improve their overall operations, and allow them to focus their efforts on their customers needs, and less time on managing payment processing.

Our Location

RP Solutions is located in beautiful upstate New York. The RP Team resides in a unique 4-story office building that boasts views of and rights to Cayuga Lake, one of the five Fingerlakes in the upstate New York region. The building was designed originally by a well-known, very creative Playground Architect. RP Solutions moved to the new building in 2018 to provide additional space for its continued growth.
